The annual NAPLAN tests assess Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 students' skills in reading, writing, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. NAPLAN results for a selected school can be compared to the average results of a group of schools with similar students, and to the average results of all Australian schools.
There are different ways to visualise NAPLAN data on My School. You can view data as numbers, bands or in graph form. You can also view student gain over time and compare achievement with schools with similar ICSEA values.
2018 was the first year of transition to NAPLAN Online. The NAPLAN Online logo and a dotted line on data graphs are included on NAPLAN data screens for schools that undertook NAPLAN online.
